Clinical Studies on Cef metazon (CMZ, CS-1170) in Surgical Field

Abstract
|
|
|
Total 30 surgical patients; (Group I, non-infected 5 cases and Group II, infected 25 cases) have been studied for an evaluation of clinical effects with a new antibiotic agent, Cephamycin(Cefmetazon, CMZ, CS-1170), during last 5 months (Jan. 1982-May 1982).
The results are as following:
1) 26(86.7%) of total 30 cases have shown satisfactory clinical effects after administration of CMZ (CS-1170, 2.0gm/day, I. V, for about 7 days) ; 22 (88%) of 25 cases with infection group (Group II)
2) In side effects of organ (liver, kidney) during the administration of CMZ, 4 of 19 cases in SGOT and 2 of 17 cases in SGPT have shown higher levels comparing with before its use, not over the range of upper limit.
2 of 16 cases in BUN and creatinine studies have shown higher levels than before its use.
3) During the administration, skin and other side reactions have never shown.
